New Year, New You! Goal Setting Worksheets

Fail to plan, plan to fail. – Benjamin Franklin

A favorite quote of mine is by one of America’s Founding Fathers, Benjamin Franklin.  I truly believe that success begins with a smart plan.  One way to beginning crafting the right plan is by goal setting.  Goal setting involves reflection and brainstorming.  It can be a helpful tool in discovering more about your own desires and dreams.

As we begin the “NEW YEAR * NEW YOU” program, one of our first steps will be goal setting both for our homes and our hearts. Print the worksheet below and sit down with a good cup of coffee (or glass of wine!) to start your year off right.

Here’s the free printables: New Year, New You Goal Setting Worksheets

A few tips on using the Goal Setting Worksheets:

  1. I would highly suggest printing the sheets and physically writing out your answers.  Simply thinking about them is not enough. Plus the written plan will allow you to go back and reflect on your goals throughout the year.

  2. You don’t need to be a planner to enjoy a good plan.  You may be more a “fly by the seat of your pants” kind of person and that’s ok!  You will still find it useful to take time to work on goal setting for the next year.  It’s a one-time thing… no pressure.

  3. Don’t think too much.  Sometimes your true heart’s desires come when you don’t overthink the process.  No one is reading this besides you (unless you want to share) so feel free to write the good, the bad, & the ugly on your worksheets.  Progress is only made when we dig deep.
